Editing Dashlets (Perhaps)

Turns out that the pick list I need to access is not actually the same as the Dashlet list. Will repost

I added a code number field to the Accounts module and need for that field to appear in Accounts pick list that is displayed when one clicks on the Select button for the Accounts field in the Create Contact screen.
The list that appears is neither the List View list nor the Accounts Sub-panel list.

I suspect it is a Dashlet list, but...

Does anybody out there know if I am correct in this thinking?
If not the Dashlet the what is it and how can I alter it?

If it is a Dashlet list, is there a way to access and alter?

I have not researched this much, I will check into it this week, but, I would look at

modules/Accounts/Popup_picker.html (I am not sure this is used in 5.0 anymore)

and

modules/Accounts/metadata/popupdefs.php

BTW
modules/Accounts/Popup_picker.html still exists (active or not unclear), but calls to different fields in the db

every time I try to access modules/Accounts/metadata/popupdefs.php, i end up back at the install home tab
must be doing something wrong there

anyhow, i have a work around for the now, but it is not very...pretty
