Default Editing the fields with studio

I am trying to custom make the fields in the accounts module to my liking and ran into a problem. I thought I had gotten things right (picture 1)http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/9...enshot1is7.jpg

except when I go to edit the account or create a new one all of the original fields are there instead of just the ones that I want displayed. (picture 2)

I guess my question is how do I make it so when I create a new account, I only have to input what I want to be displayed. Sorry if I am not clear with this, I am very new to the program

    thanx in advance

Your first screenshot is of the Detail layout, the second is of the Edit layout. They work independent of each other. If you want both of them to look the same, you have to modify and deploy both of them within Studio.

Go in Admin->Studio->(module that you want to modify)->Layouts:
there you see different layouts: EditView, DetailView and ListView.
EditView layouts the page you see when you create or modify a record for that module.
Detailview shows the page with the record you have selected.
Listview is the layout for the module's main page, where you can usually see search fields and a list of records.
If you want Editview and Detailview to look alike, edit their layouts to be similar: next time you'll use that module, you'll see the 2 views with the same layout.

Also, be aware that the Detail only displays a name (first last) in one box. Whereas editview has salutation, first, and a box for last. This for forces the layout to be slightly different so keep that in mind,
