    Default Editing Modules

HI, I am trying to add two custom fields into the contact module. I have created the fileds alreay and have dragged and dropped to replace two fileds I do not require. When I save and publish I go to the contact records and my two new fields appear, however when I go to edit the contact the fields revert back to what they were before. I read a similar query and it suggested to just save and not publish, I tried this also but it does not work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hi,

Did you add the custom fields to both the Detail view as well as the Edit view, the fields need to be added to each screen.

Saving and publishing is the right way, although it doesn't always seem to stick. If you have this problem, restart the studio component and try again.
    Cheers Malcolm

HI Malcolm, thanks for the advice. However I still manage to have the custi=m fields appear in detail view but not erditing view, even though I have updated both layouts. I then tried just to add the custom fields to twp blank areas but they did noty appear in the editing vioew either. Not sure is there is anything else I can try,. Cheers
