Default Editing objects from user's home page inoperable

When editing objects such as tasks from the home page directly by clicking on the edit icon that looks like a pencil to the right of the item, the usual edit page is displayed, but then edits cannot be saved. When one clicks 'save', the page displays simply has the word "Home" in the upper left corner and the data is not saved. This is SugarCRM 4.5.1b running on Linux, this behavior can be reliably duplicated and although I have not tested it comprehensively, the only place I've noticed it occurs when editing direct from the home page.

Is your code stock? This has the ring of custom code breaking (the work HOME in the upper corner is something I have seen many times with custom code that has an echo $module_name; type of debugging in it).

Can you replicate this on another instance or the demo instances on SugarCRM.com?

What version of PHP are you running?

    Has it ever worked?

are there any errors in your sugarcrm.log file?

Thanks for the questions -- will check this out, the only non-stock item I have installed is TeamsOS, latest version, 3.3d I believe it is. Everything else is stock and was an original install with a sugarcrm prebuilt stack I downloaded from sugarcrm.com.

Will check the errors in the log file and post them. Any other thoughts would be of interest.

    Thanks
