Editing an Opportunity creates a duplicate but also edits the original

Hi,

I recently moved my install from FreeBSD 7.2/Lighttpd to OpenSolaris 2009.06/Lighttpd and since then if I edit an opportunity, (Edit, Save) it creates a new opportunity with the changes but also changes any originals. To explain better, if I edit an opportunity five times, I end up with five duplicates and all five are in the state of the final edit. Also, if I delete one opportunity it deletes all five.

When I moved the install I didn't change anything - I dumped the db, tar'd up the files, scp'd both to the new machine, loaded the db and untar'd the files. Everything else works fine. There are no errors logged.

The versions of software I am using are as follows:

OS: OpenSolaris 2009.06
SugarCRM Version: 5.2.0e
Webserver Version: Lighttpd 1.4.19
PHP Version: 5.2.9 with Suhosin v0.9.27 and APC
MySQL Version: 5.0.67

It seems that additional rows are being added to the opportunities_cstm table. I believe this is related to the following thread, to which no fix was added.

delete the _cstm table and add thefields you need addionally right to the table of the opportunity (define them in custom/Extension/Oppotunities/Ext/Vardefs/whatsoever.php and do a repair .. ).
