Default "EditView" action of "User" module doesn't work. CE 5.5 (upgraded from 5.2)

I've upgraded my Sugar from 5.2 to 5.5.

After upgrading, "EditView" action of "User" module doesn't work.
    I got following message :

Fatal error: Call to a member function assign() on a non-object in /var/www/SugarCE-Full-5.5.0/modules/DynamicFields/DynamicField.php on line 753

    Any third party modules?
    Developers go here
    Businesses go there (Dutch)

    Modules:
SugarDev.net Developer Tools | Config | Dutch Language Pack

No 3rd party module is installed.

Running into the same issue here with Enterprise - upgraded from 5.2.

Clean install of CE & Pro works fine.

I'm having the same exact error after I upgraded from 5.2 pro to 5.5 pro.

Now I'm not a php expert - in fact I don't even know the language, but I'm a programmer by trade and there's a function called "populateXTPL" within the DynamicFields.php file that makes a call to assign() but I'm not seeing anywhere else in that file where there's an assign function. If I had to guess, that's the error - either the assign function is linked in a different file, albeit with a different signature/parameter list, or there should be an assign function within this file and there isn't one...

Don't know if this will help, but in reading the comments of the DynamicFields.php file, the populateXTPL function falls within a "Backwards Compatibility" section, which makes me thing that a custom module we have loaded isn't so backwards compatible. Going try removing/updating a custom module my boss loaded in there to see if that helps. I'd have to assume so....
