Default Email Account through admin panel fails

    I am running Version 5.1.0b (Build 4905)

If I create an email account in the admin panel so that users can decide which email to import and therefore relate it to a customer it will never successfully have email in that folder. If I go create a personal email account with the same settings it works fine. When I click Test in the admin panel it says the account is fine.

I assume you created a group mailbox , added the folder to your personal settings and the folder never shows any emails?
Did you ever check "My Email"? This is where they (usually) end up. Not logical but that's what it is. Besides I think it doesn't work if you do not have at least one personal account defined.
Then it seems as if under certain circumstances certain "types" don't work at all. In our case pop3 with gmail and smtp with Google.
I guess you did check your scheduler as well as the cron job because they are the same for all users.

Yes, I have tried everything and it is simply not stable or reliable. I have given up on email with the built in client

Can anyone reading this provide their opinion on whether using Thunderbird externally and choosing what email to import to Sugar works correctly? We are mostly a Linux shop so don't have access to Outlook.

Nevermind, I can't use Thunderbird because I made sure I was using the latest version of Sugar in an attempt to make email easier
