Email address field not available in account layouts

I have Community version Version 5.5.0. I want to be able to view the primary email address associated with an account in the list and detail layouts, but it is not available in Studio. However, it is available in the Search layouts. How is this possible? And in what database table is the account email address held?

I see the email addresses are stored in the email_addresses table, and I see an id field for each record, but that is not the same value id that is in the accounts table for the email_addresses record it corresponds to, so how do the email addresses relate to the accounts?

Email addresses and other modules are related through the email_addr_bean_rel table.
