email alert template attachment

Hi,

I'd like to attach a .pdf file to an email alert template, but i can't find the proper function to do it. The purpose is to use it in a workflow. If it's not possible, does anyone know how to achieve this an other way?

I was in the same boat.
The Alert mechanism does not support attachments.
I did a work around or you could modify the underlying source.
