Default Email button in contact inactive

    Hi,

when i create a new contact or edit a contact the email button (denoted by a + sign) is inactive, that is it reacts to pressing by showing pressed-down but nothing follows.

As as result i can't add any email address to the contact.

Btw: same with email button aof the account.

    What happened?
    How to repair?

    Thank so much for helping.

    Bapon

Let us know more details about your system: sugar version, php version, did you upgrade from some previous version? did you install any package or configure code by hand?

    Hi andopes,

    thanks for replying.

Sugar version is 6.1.4 (Build 5822).
Initial installation , no upgrades (Windows stack)
PHP version: i don't know. How to find out?
Modules: Yes, i added a package and created modules in it. But i didn't willfully tamper with the existing stuff like contacts etc.

It once worked. But it doesn't anymore.

It seems important to me that the problem occurs with the email button of "contact" as well as with the email button of "account".

    Regards

Try using supported browsers. This problem appears on IE 9.0

    Hello,

I am also experiencing the same problem, but the email field disappear on all modules Accounts, Contacts, Leads and opportunities. Also, the + button to add another email field does not work as well.

I have tried Chrome, Firefox and IE. Also, cleared cache on those browsers, restored editview page on admin >> studio for Leads module. Repaired compressed js files as well. It did not solve this problem.

Searching the forum I found some threads, but none with a solution.

Hope I can get some help.
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards,
    Romero
