    Question The email campaign is not working.

    After creating a email campaign by Campaign Wizard, and I set up each step as direction.
    But there is no email sending out , cause I didn't receive any mails from the mailbox that I put in the
    target list.

    Can anyone tell me is there any step missing?

    goto admin>manage email queue

    Are your emails sitting in there?

    Hi,

    I have the same problem.

    I checked "Manage Email Queue" from the admin page, but unfortunately did not find anything.

    Are there any other typical errors that first time campaigners make?

    Hi!

    Two points which are easy to miss:

    * Have you setup your system to run cron.php from your systems crond (assuming you're using a Linux like OS)? Otherwise SugarCRM will not run any of its scheduled tasks.

    * The standard settings for campaign emails are "from 2 to 6 in the night", so dont expect anything happening during normal office hours (unless this are your normal office houres ).
    I suggest to change the schedules settings to somethings like "every 10 minutes"; and no more than ~250 EMails per batch.

    Then check:

    * EMails appear in Campaigns status page?
    * EMails appear in Mail Queue Manager?

    for the campaign emails that you tried to send out. Did you click the 'Send Test' button to send out to target lists of type=test, or did you click the 'Send Email' button to send to the target list=default group? If you hit the 'Send Email' button for a target list you had previously already sent to, then the emails would have been auto suppressed, since the system will auto suppress any duplicate emails for the same campaign email marketing item.

    Hi

    Thank you SugarCane for that contribution
    I now understand where I was going wrong.

    I was so engrossed in checking the clock, the cron, my inbox, and my web host's services
    that completely overlooked the fact that Sugar could have been preventing the transmissions
    generated by my repeated attempts to test/discover the email campaign functionality.

    Boy, am I glad to know this community.
