Default Email campaign: where defining to send in text or in HTML for each recipient

    Hi,

When defining an email template, the body is entered in HTML but it is possible to write a plain text version.

I'd like to send out the HTML version only to recipients who accept HTML et the plain text version only to recipients who desn't accept HTML.

But I don't find where to indicate for each recipient if he's able to accept HTML or not.

    How can I do?

    Thks for any help.

    Dji

The server or client at the receivers end will sort this out for you ... as long as you send both html and plain text

    Hi,
I have a problem with this, too.
I've created an email template. It has html content as well as plain text. For testing purposes I've put two different kinds of content in it to see if the plain text is being delivered or not.
It's not! Instead the html is somehow translated into plain text causing various problems, suddenly I see "&nbsp ;" everywhere in the email message, text is indented, etc.
From your post above I thought both versions were sent and the receiving mail server would decide which one of these to display.

I have the same problem. Looking at the email headers, the plain text part is indeed getting sent:

    Content-Type: text/plain; charset = "ISO-8859-1"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

However the htmlentities have not been decoded properly. This seems to only be the case in signatures and templates, not in the typed body of the text.
