    Default Email Campaigns

I have some questions in email campaigns.

    1. Why do contacts, leads end up on "Suppressed by Email Address or domain" list?
Sometimes it happens, that I send a couple of test mails, and my email ends up on suppressed list.
Why? I happens random, sometimes when I send 2 to 10 test mails.

    2. How do some contacts end up on opted-up list? I removed default opted-up link in my email templates. I manually out.out addresses if the client sends a request.
Status of contacts do not show that they are opted out.

Could someone explain how this deferent types of "mail statuses" work? (Bounced, opted-out, suppressed, etc.)

    Thank you.

    From the wiki -

Suppress - By Id: List of people exempted from the Campaign email. say for a campaign you have a default list of 100 targets of this list you do not want to send emails to 20 targets, first add these targets to a list of this type and then associate the list with the campaign.

Suppress - By Email Address: Same function as previous type. In this case exemption is based on email address comparison.

Suppress - By Domain: with this type you get an additional field "No emails to Domain", you can set a domain name in this field. say you want to suppress emails to <everybody>@yahoo.com, set yahoo in the domain field.
You should spend some time reading this part of the manual - http://www.sugarcrm.com/wiki/index.p...mail-Campaigns

Hello I'm having problems with sending test mails...

I picked out two old campaigns and want to send test mails to test target list.
In one campaign it sends mails in other campaign it does not, my email is on list: Suppressed by email or domain.

Why is sugar blocking my mail address? On other campaign I can send test mails.

Sometimes it happens that only some mail addresses on test target list get suppressed after more test mails get sent.

How do i remove these addresses form suppression list?

    Thank you

    Sebek,

How did you remove the default opt-out link from email templates?

    Using Sugar 5.5.1 RC

Technically, you can create a tracker URL where you check off the checkbox which denotes that it is an opt out link. When you do this, the system will not auto add the opt out link at the bottom of the template. Then, don't add this link into the email template.
