    Unhappy Email campaigns are not sent (even not queued)

    Hello I am testing SugarCRM community edition 5.5.0 (Build 6655).
    Email set up has been a little difficult but now email module seems to work properly.

    I am having problems to make campaigns emails go out. In fact I have followed all instructions but my emails are not sent on the scheduled time.

    The cron job is already executing every 15 minutes and "Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns" is also up. When I check that scheduler it shows it was successfully executed on the specified time intervals.

    Finally I have tried to use the "Send test" option and emails are delivered succesfully, so my email settings are right.

    Do you have any idea on how to fix it? I would appreciate so much any help you could give me.

    Hello,

    I know this seems really obvious, but is the Starte date and time within the email marketing item in the past or in the future? If it is set in the future, then the system will not send out the emails until that date and time comes up.

    It sounds like your scheduler for "Run Nightly Mass Email Campaigns" is properly set up. Did you expand the time when it runs (the default is from 2-6 AM)?

    Thank you for your message.

    I made my test campaign yesterday at 2pm and planned emails to be sent from 4pm. Mass email scheduler works from 2am up to 6am as originally stated. In fact my test list contains only 3 emails so I don't think it needs more time for sending.

    So, I think that they should be queued at 4pm, and next day from 2am they should be sent but it didn't work.

    I also tried with "Send emails" option but nothing happened.

    Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

    In fact it was just my mistake!

    If you use "Test lists" then you just can use "Send test" option only. If you want that campaign emails be queued (and sent I guess), you must be sure that the list you are using is not a "Test" one.

    Yep, that will definitely do it. Hitting the 'Send Test' button only allows you to send out to the target list of type=test and sending the 'Send Emails' button only allows you to send to non-test target group types. Glad to hear you figured it out.
