Hello everyone;
This is our first post to the Sugar CE Forums and we hope that someone can provide a definitive answer to a question that appears to crop up regularly.
About us: Sugar 4.5.1h (build 11.04) Fedora Core 6 PHP 5.2.3 Apache 2.2.6
Problem: We have set up a Campaign that will run an email to a number of Target Lists. We would like to have separate lsits for differently profiled segments for obvious reasons. There will be overlaps between the two lists. This could mean duplicate emails being sent - a big no-no!![]()
We have scoured the forums, the documentation, Wiki etc and we cannot find anywhere, absolute confirmation that Sugar will NOT send duplicate emails to Targets in the separate Target Lists. Ad does it matter if you send the emails in batches of 500 - does the duplicate checking still happen?
For now we have merged all the names into one giant list of 4,000 because we cannot take the risk of looking like amateurs, but this doesn't really help the marketing folks who want to see which types of targets have higher click throughs etc. We know that others have this concern and there are many unanswered posts asking almost the same question.
We also have just bumped into the following problem:
PHP cannot find the IMAP library even though it is installed. Any clues?![]()
There's some really good work going on with the Sugar project but the lack of clear evidence and documentation on what we think should be basics is frustrating but also a worry. Can anyone point us in the right direction?
