    Question Email client question

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to see if there is away to use an email client with SugarCRM CE. I have tried using the connector and no luck.

    I want to be able to do thing with sugar through MS Outlook or Outlook Express, either one!

    I am using:

    Version 6.0.3 (Build 4339)
    Found under "About"

    I am not clear on what it is you are asking, but I believe what you are asking is about the process of linking email from Outlook to Sugar.

    If so, take a look at the GrinMark and Kinamu Outlook connectors. Both allow you to receive email in Outlook and link it into Sugar.

    Question Re: Email client question

    Angel,

    Thanks for the reply my friend. Yes I want to communicate with sugar by Outlook and also be able to create cases.

    I believe I have tried the connector and it did not work. Maybe not. I may have not configured right.

    Couple things:

    1. Where is the exact download of what you mentioned?
    2. How do I set it up? Is there something I have to do in the sugar GUI before install
    3. Will it work Free CE or is this for Paid users only?

    Sorry for all the questions!

    Download:

    GrinMark -> http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/grinmarkoffice/
    Kinamu -> http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/outlookconnect/

    I believe both have respective downloads with instructions.

    Don't need to do anything special in Sugar to get them to work, so long as you have a valid user/pass. And yes, they work with CE.

    If you have any problems with either, you should raise it within the respective forum found on the pages referenced above.
