Email connection problems

Hi Folks,

Running Sugar 5.0. Email is panfully slow to do anything with, read, import, etc. I checked my server logs and here's the type of thing I'm getting - looks like something's not hooking up right. Any thoughs?

Just a bump - any one have any thoughts on this?

Also, a part II email question.

When I import an email to sugar, say into a 'client'folder, and taht email has attachments, it seems that the attachments aren't saved? Same thing on my 'sent' email folders. I can't go back and pull up the attchments. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, we see the same error on 5.0. When I trace the inboundemail, it shows these entries, and the Linux POP3 mail logs show the type of errors reported above. It also prevents us from deleting an email successfully since the delete gets the "file in use" error -- as if there are two processes concurrently accessing the POP3 account over the socket or something.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this please? I've had a sugar consultant look at this to no avail. I've just had a linux consultant look at my server for two days and he's fully confident it's sugar. As it stands right now, I've got a database that's useless, it takes 2 minutes to dwonload emails, and 30 seconds every time I want to read one or move from one email to another. And I't's almost certainly Sugar's problem, like it's connecting multiple times to the email server.

I've paid to try and get it fixed, waited a month or two on the forums with no assistance - Any help here please? Or do I move to a commercial product and dump sugar? I can't run like this!

After many hours over weeks of trying to locate solutions for personal IU Mail in 5.0.0e and 5.1.0 I have concluded that this feature is not stable. I have sought input from numerous posts on this forum and none have solved the problem of a personal email setup in IU Email setup of not being able to open emails. The emails download fine but when they are opened only reveals subject of "message removed from server". In fact the message has not been removed from server. This is a flaw in 5.0.0e and 5.1.0 that I have evaluated. I regressed to version 4.5.1 and all works fine. I am writing this to assist others should they be struggling with same issue so that they may not waist the many hours that I have to discover that versions 5.0.0e and 5.1.0 are not usable for personal emails.
