email formatting issue

Hi,
I am having serious problems with email.
ON Sugar: Version 5.5.0 (Build 6653) hosted on Siteground.

I had variious problems getting SMTP to work, so trying Sendmail. SMTP fails with recipients failed.

All aspects of email are working, inbound /outbound/templates/campaigns/group emails etc but the format -of all emails sent is odd - it includes all the formatting and both the text and the html versions, making everything unuseable. Also the attachments appear as txt files.

Settings are for Send mail, html email, ISO 8859-1 format, use Sugar internal crm client

I also tried using external client which works fine but i think you need to send a copy to yourself and assign it to attach it to a record, which I need to do.

Any suggestions/help appreciated.

You could also use a plugin (depending on your mail client) that sync'd email between sugar and the client ... see sugarforge for more
