    Lightbulb Email Forms and surveys

    Hi,

I need to be able to do surveys which are filled in whilst on phone. The results then need to be exported to Excel. So far I have been doing this by simply modifying the Notes section, with a dropdown for survey name and bits like 'Question 1' and so on. This at least allows the questions to be modified in Excel to represent the real questions, however I have a better idea ...

I could create an email template with a form embedded in it - for example customer survey 1 which had the relevant dropdowns and so on to capture the answers and then have a submit button at the end of it, however I need ideas on where I would submit/post the form results to so I can export them - it would be great if I could keep the whole process in Sugar so you ended up with something that looks like the contact list but has all the results you could then sort and export.

Any ideas PLEEEAAAASSEE!!!! If we can figure this out it would be a huge step forward for many organisations I think!

    Thanks,

    Tim.

Forms need a target url that will parse the form data. if you are interested in a survey software check out phpESP ( http://www.butterfat.net/wiki/Projects/phpESP ). Nice simple opensource survey software. It also provides some reporting and csv export.

Thanks for this. I would like to be able to integrate the two so you have the contact details from a specific group (naybe campaign list) at the top where they canphone and change details, the survey underneath that they go through, When they press 'save' it shoots the data off in two directions - contact details to Sugar, survey details to the survey and it automatically goes on to the next individual. Very suprised no one has done this yet!

Question Re: Email Forms and surveys

Okay, I think I'm getting somewhere but need some info from Sugar experts really.

I used phpESP to create the survey. I created a new module called 'Surveys' (copying opportunities).

Once created I used the 'link to' given by phpESP and put it into the edit.php within module Surveys near the end and voila, the Sugar stuff at the top, the survey at the bottom. Click submit on the survey and it submits.

Now, what I need to do is go to a contact and have the survey under the contact information, and make it so that the 'Submit' on the survey does the following:

    1) Submits the survey
    2) Submits and contact detail changes
    3) Goes to the next contact in the list.

If I get get this done I will release the module free on then network together with the phpESP link so anyone can do the same and suddenly you have a telemarketing module for Sugar!

Please, please, please, any information would be great.

    Thanks!

Any success with this feature? I am evaluating Sugar and would like to know if I can add Survey functionality to an installation.
