Email functions don't work

SugarCRM Community Edition 5.1.0 on Fedora Core 8, httpd 2.2.9, php 5.2.6, mysql 5.0.45.

When i click on "Email" tab, i can see only the upper buttons ("Check mail", "Compose", "Settings") but none of them does anything when i click on it. Below the buttons, there is only blank space.

What's wrong?

I can't find any error message in sugarcrm log or apache log or system log. I checked through the manual but i didn't find any clue about what i am missing.

What browser are you using? It sounds more like a client side issue to me.
