Sugar 5.0b2, LAMP

Am I misunderstanding something? I've got email configured and working (IMAP). I can call up a contact, click on their email address and send them an email using the Sugar Email client but shouldn't that email then be associated somehow with the contact and retrievable by going into the contact record again and finding it under history? I don't see it listed anywhere now...
