Email Marketing Customized Tracker URLs

I am looking to use Sugar's Email Marketing functionality to add trackback URLs to mass emails that are customized to each individual contact based on a URL field for each one.

Customized templates are great, but is there a way to do this?

For instance:

For contact #1, their URL data field in my sugar is: http://www.mysite.com/contact1
Contact #2's is: http://www.mysite.com/contact2

I would like each respective email to include a link to their contact-specific URL, while also being able to track whether the links are clicked, etc.

Is there a way to do this (through sugar or otherwise)?

There was some discussion on a similar topic floating around a number of months ago, but nothing has changed to accommodate those enhancements or those that you are in need of.

You would need to customize the Campaigns module to get it to do this. Offhand, I am not sure if it would be something you could code in an upgrade-safe manner.

I'm also interested by the answer to this question.
I tried to put a link as below in the url tracker, but {contact_name} is not replaced at runtime by its value.

http://www.mysite.com/{contact_name} or http://www.mysite.com/$contact_name

How is it possible to get arround this problem ?

Hi jresetco,

there is now a new module available called Smart Tracker after installations this is possible.
I wanted something to add a link in a mail to have a webbased view possible and thus needed to include campain ids and tracker keys etc. This module works but somehow when inserting contact_id info there is not data.

Apologies, but I don't. I'd have to dig into the code to get a feel for what is necessary, as I've never had a need to modify that area of Sugar.
