Email not working on iPad

I can't get email to "send" on my iPad using the Safari browser.

I tap "send" and it turns blue but that's it.

Also, sigs don't show.

Is this a documented bug somewhere? I looked for a thread here but didn't find one.

Can anyone offer some words of wisdom on this issue?
