    Exclamation email notification after editing the same case assigned to the user

    Hi,
    I have installed sugar4.5 and now i can be able to sent notifications to my users whenever i assign a case to them. But when i edit the case and save it the edited notification is not send to him. is there any remedy for this issue. Plz help me.

    Hi aruns, OOTB (out-of-the-box) Sugar provides email notification of a change of assignment and not a change in content.

    The Sugar commercial editions, with Workflow, allow what you described. It's always possible to modify Sugar to allow for this as well but not recommended. Also be aware that a flood of emails that arise from simple modifications can get overwhelming. Maybe saved searches or Dashlets filtered on "My Items" and sorted by date ascending, is enough.

    Sugar commercial editions refer to the Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise editions that you can learn more about here. These are the editions that SugarCRM offers for a subscription fee.

    Sugar Open Source edition, no (unless you make a code change).
    Sugar Professional edition, yes, with Workflow.
    Sugar Enterprise edition, yes, with Workflow.

    All versions ... 4.0.x, 4.2.x, 4.5.x.

    Hi aruns, you can also accomplsih this using a Logic Hook. In this way your modification will be upgrade-safe. This is available using Sugar's Open Source edition.

    Max Blackmer, "kpit" in the forums, built a logic hook that does something similar. I'm sure a Sugar expert here will be able to change Max's hook to do what you want.
