Email notification for own module

i try to set up email notification for a module i built by my own.
I know that email notification is working for the default modules, but how do i enable it for my self created module?

I think it can be done.

For example:

 $this->save(true); 
  

true - mean send notification

Hi

You might want to make use of the Workflow. It is basically used to trigger notifications in form of email or invitation. It can also send SMS notification if you use iZeno's SMS module.

Go to Admin > Workflow Management

It's pretty flexible.
