Email other users/Separate employee from users

New to SugarCRM.
Trying to find how to email other users instead of accounts, contacts, etc without adding them as an account, or typing their actual email out.

Also, I'd like clients to have some login functionality but not list them as clients, and simplify their view of what they get.

Any suggestions.

Hello,

I had been working with sugar since last 3 months or so. It's an amazing feature rich software when we talk about CRM Solutions. But I would personally advise you not to use sugar for sending mails or for whatsoever purpose related to mails. The email module in sugar is the weakest link which has forced many users to shift to something else. But we don't need to worry much as Sugar team seems to be working a lot on getting issues resolved ASAP.

Still, we are into business and we cannot simply wait for someone to do something when we are not sure if it would be ever done. Also, problems in software industry are always solvable but we never know the amount of time and efforts they will take. So, instead of waiting hands folded for sugar to come up with a foolproof email client, we can start with something else for the time being. As and when sugar updates for emails come and we get some stable version, we can always shift.

You can have a walk trough the forums to get a feel of the problems that you might face while using the current sugar email client. But no 2 opinions about the overall quality of the product. It's simply fantastic !

I just thought total communication and tracking in one place would be ideal...

Now to the second quest...anyone comments suggestions on distinquishing employees from users as they seem to be one and the same or did I miss something

As far as difference is considered, then I would say Yes. The difference is surely there. The "Employees" module was created for non-admin users to get some information related to other users. The "Users" module is an "admin-only" module and so non-admin users cannot use it. But apart from this, there is no other difference between them as far as my knowledge goes.
