I'm currently evaluating CRM software for our Company and have installed a copy of sugarCRM on my linux PC. Initial installation went well but now I'm trying to set up different kinds of users (salesman, Telesales, manager etc.) to try to get a feel for the software. Where I have come unstuck is on the email front. We have our own mail server (imap/ smtp) and I would like each user to be able to access their email account from within sugarCRM. It looks as tho this should be possible but no matter what I do I can't get it to display on the users page.
So far I've looked at the admin/email/inbound email settings but my understanding is that these are used for setting up "group/ shared" mailboxes and I haven't got that far yet
I have also seen the email settings in each users login. However although I can complete the screen and the test button says everything is ok and can see the folders I can't seem to get the settings to "stick" so that the inbox appears for the user. Can someone point me to an idiots guide to setting up email or tell me how to do it.
thanks
Garfield
