Email response time (sendmail)

Hello,

I've installed a Sugar Version 4.5.1g in a Linux Server with sendmail. When I write an email and I send it it takes at least 3 or 4 minuts to be sent. Is it normal or it is many time? Is faster to use SMTP?

Edit: Anyone knows why there is a delay between I click the send button and when the email is sended? The server (linux) where the sendmail is configured is doing none in this time...

This delay is not from the sugar side but the Sendmail Linux is delaying the mail.
Anyway why you dont install latest sugar5.2 and test on it.

Its an old instalation and I can't updated yet.
Do you know any way to test if the sendmail service is working fine?

Anyone can post you email respose time for sending an email please? I only want to assure that my email response time is correct or there is a bad configuration on my sendmail server.
