Email Scheduling

Hi,

I am new to Sugar CRM, however i must say that i am very impressed. It seems to solve all my problems with one simple organised solution .

The one feature that i feel is missing is the ability to scheduale sending emails. The business that i operate in relies upon the automated sending of emails to individual customers from time to time. Similar to schedualing calls to customers, i guess.

Take the following scenario:

Customer signs up: 10/07/06
Welcome email: 12/07/06
Mid Contract Email 12/12/06
Contract Renewal Email: 12/05/06


What i would like to know is:

Is there a module that will allow me to scheduale emails in this manner and automatically send them when the send date (i.e. date above) corrosponds with the "days" date! The emails are all templates so it would be a case of creating a template for the customer >> assigning dates in calendar >> let the system run sending the emails as and when required!

If the module does not exist how would i go about suggesting to develop it?

anybody know? It seems that there should be some automated emailing send engine seen as sugar has the ability to send individual messages and also has a calendar that can have re-curring events

What you are looking for is not currently possible with the OS version of SugarCRM.

With the Pro version, there is a workflow component, although I am not sure whether you can use this to schedule Emails to customers.
