email settings - undefined

I need help please. My inbound email settings keep showing 'undefined'. I have cleared my caches and no luck. Also, my Sugar email folders are missing. When I restart my apache server, everything works fine but then it happens again. I have restarted it 10 times. Any ideas?

One idea:
If you use IMAP and you have an INBOX folder which contains a very great amount of emails, the maximum response time could be too short to load all email headers to show them in your email client.
In the database table email_cache you can see which headers have been loaded already from your server.

Thanks kuske. I am using POP3. The odd thing is that:
1) the POP3 folder does show with any cached emails.
2) The email settings for the POP3 account will show 'undefined' for name, user name, mail server address, and port.
3) The sugar mail folders (with any imported emails or sent) are not showing.

Is it 5.2xxx or an older version?

It's 5.2.0d. I think it has to do with my server settings but I don't know what it could be. The reason why is because it works for a bit when i restart apache.
