Email slow in 5.5.1 CE

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to 5.5.1 CE and configured the mail client to use imap with gmail. When I click on an email or actually do anything with the mail client it is really slow. It can take 60 secs to open a message.

Can anyone help please.

You can turn on debugging for logging and slow query logging. Then you can clear your logs out right before you click to open a message. Then after you open the message, go look at the logs. You might see something taking too long to do.

I can tell you that it should work, I just set up my GMail account on 5.5.1 at a McDonalds (pretty slow shared connection) and I can move from message to message fairly quickly, maybe 1-2 seconds at most.

Is there anything special about your GMail account? Is it just a standard someone@gmail.com account?

What kind of server is this on? OS, PHP Version that sort of thing.

If you set it on on www.mail2web.com does it work at normal speed?
