Please excuse me (and notify me) if this is a known bug, or missing feature.
Using: SugarCRM Community 5.1.0RC
Apache with MySQL on Windows XP dedicated machine.

In sending Campaign Emails via Email templates, any variables inserted within the template from the ACCOUNTS table do not get parsed and replaced properly, rather they pass through literally as $Acccount_name, $Account_Id etc.

I've checked Email.php, and while it appears to have the beginnings of code that might (someday) exist for upwardly following the table relationships and retrieving the account data, I haven't found anywhere that would actually perform that execution. I'll be checking the code line-by-line this evening, but I'm not hopeful.

I have several custom fields in the Account table needing insertion, so the kludged "$contact_account_name" variable unfortunately doesn't help me in this case.

Please let me know if this is an ongoing bug, incomplete feature, or perhaps a misunderstanding of the SugarCRM workings.

If either of the former two, are there any user-created code fixes? If not, I'll trudge ahead and make one out of necessity.

Thanks in advance!
