    Question Email and user setup confusion

    I have installed SugarCRM Open Source Version 4.0.0 on a Windows platform, using XAMPP from apachefriends.org. Works great

    I am a little confused on how to best setup email for installed users. If I go Admin, User Management and setup a new user, I can specify them an email address. If I then go to Admin, Manage Mailboxes, Monitor New Mailbox, I can setup collection of a pop3 or imap account. However, I can't see how I can associate this account with my available users.

    One way around this was to create each user as a "group user". This user would then appear under the "Assign to Group" Email Handling option of the Monitor New Mailbox setting - hence, I could then associate a user with mailbox. However, they could not log in, thus, I needed to uncheck "group user" for their User account. This is correct? I'm confused

    I too am thoroughly confused. Everything works with the email but I am missing the link between which group my user is in. Are my emails being pulled properly and I just need to log in as a diferent user?

    Confused...
