emails going nutty

When i use Walls & Roofs in my email template subject i get a mail with "Walls & Roofs" in my subject

This is a common error in a lot of HTML based applications - essentially you/Sugar is escaping your HTML characters (<,>,&, and / to name a few) but not unescaping them when it gets displayed. I don't know where its happening, but at least that's why its happening.
