    Question Emails module - Warning: You do not have permission to access this module.

    Probably a silly question. I've been charged with evaluating LinkPoint360 product. Having some difficulties with them, but while troubleshooting, we did stumble on the fact that no users in my system seem to have access to the Emails module.

    Accounts tab -> select account -> history panel -> create note or attachment -> full form -> Emails link in the "Shortcuts" section on the left.

    I get error: Warning: You do not have permission to access this module.

    When I view the user in admin sceens, the user has full access to Emails module. I checked all Emails settings and everything is configured for SugarCRM Mail Client. Any suggestions?

    OS: Suse 9
    Sugar: 4.5.1b
    Server: Apache 1.3.3
    PHP: 4.4.4
    Mysql: 4.1.15

    One thing that comes to mind is the possibility that your PHP installation may not have IMAP support built in.

    You could check by creating a PHP file with the following code:

    Code:
    <?php
    
    phpinfo();
    
    ?>
    and then viewing that PHP file in your browser.

    Thanks for the reply. It seems, however, that I do have --with-imap and --with-imap-ssl compiled and enabled.

    Did you check your role settings? Check whether anything is disabled there.

    Did you check your role settings? Check whether anything is disabled there.

    Here's the funny thing. When I log in as admin and look at the user's profile, all modules are enabled. However, when I subsequently log in with the user in question, I do not see any mention of the Emails module in the Profile section. It doesn't say "Disabled", it's just not there. Oddly enough, the admin user doesn't have access to the Emails module either.

    Last possibility - check whether you have your email tab enabled (not hidden). If this is the case the email shortcut will still show but access is denied.
