Emails - Quick Create, View

Hi,

Can somebody please confirm (or solve...):

Module Emails - Inbox - click one mail to have it displayed in the lower panel. Click "Quick Create".
With IE the menu drops down as expected, not with FF. Same with "View".
Tested with 5e and 5f, Pro and CE, Win and Linux (client). Javascript is enabled.

Same happens (but exactly the other way round - IE no, FF yes) with the dropdowns on the Pro homepage (page tab). This one could be repaired (?) by resetting the homepage in the admin section.

Yes. I can confirm the issue with Firefox and the "Quick Create" Button. I'm using Firefox 3.0.
Safari Win isn't working too.

The Javascript Call that is not doing anything looks like this:

The problem seems to have appeared with FF3. Just tried it with FF2, there it seems to works OK

Can verify this. working in Firefox 2.

But why did it stop in Safari? did they update the JS rendering engine lately?

I did notice that the problem seems to be related with the visible layers. If I move down the reading-pane seperator, after klicking the "quick create" button I can see the previously hidden menu and highlight the entries with cursre up-, and down-keys.

Glad I found this thread, I got the exact same problem with Firefox 3.0.1 and Sugar CE 5.0.0f.

So basically I got this :
IE7 (7.0.5730.11): Working
Firefox 3.0.1 : NOT working (nothing happens)
Opera 9.5.1 : NOT working (small empty blue square shows up)
Safari for Windows 3.1.2 : NOT working. (nothing happens)

Do we know what the problem is and how to fix it ?

Noticed the same, BUT also noticed that the box is being rendered.
The box remains not very usefull, but it's there.

Try the following:

• click on one email
• click on the 'Quick Create' button
• enlarge the listview / drag the detailview to below
• notice the box

I think the z-index isn't rendering correctly in FF3, changing the zindex through the YAHOO script didn't solve it, also adjusting the z-index with FireBug didn't solve it.
When I adjusted the top position from the element it appeared above the buttons bar.

How to solve this?

Same problem here.

Has anyone found a solution for this yet? My support team normally uses quick-create as their main process. Since the upgrade to FF3, they've been stuck.

Or, is there another way to create something based on an e-mail?

You can somehow work around this problem by opening the email (double click), then the quick create drop down appears. This was tested with 5g and FF 3.01 and Opera 9.27 under Linux.
