    Default Employee E-mail addresses

    Good day all.
    I have checked through the forums here and can not seem to find an answer that deals with my problem specifically.

    My company is using:
    Sugar Community Edition
    Version 5.0.0d (Build 3235)

    I am the person that is basically in charge of the CRM, so most of the problems fall on me to fix.
    Now I am not a programmer but I do have access to one so if the answers call for it, so be it.
    Here is the problem.
    All the employees that I have entered into the system (about 30) I have added all the pertinent info on them including e-mail addresses.

    Now here is the thing that I can not explain. No one has access to administration, and I have set the roles accordingly to where people can not delete anything with out me knowing and or doing.
    I have this problem that I can not track down and I do not know why it happens....
    Occasionally and it is more often than not, a few e-mail adddresses from these employees just dissappear.
    literally I could be scheduling a meeting for a few employees and when it comes time to send the invites not all of them get it. When I check the employees list or the user accounts or even the role managment I find the e-mails (all random btw) for some of them are missing.
    I did not delete them and like I said no one else really has permission to delete anything really.
    I am totally stumped to why this is happening, and it is a big problem because all the users need the e-mail notifications for meetings and assignments...

    I have not even come across a possibility to why this is happening...
    hopefully someone out there can help.

    Hello AEsposito,

    Generally, regardless of Roles or other permissions, users can modify their own accounts (with the 'My Account' link on the top-right of the screen). The Users modules and Employees modules are tied together-- I believe if you remove your e-mail address from one, it'll also disappear from the other.

    You can optionally turn on query logging (to log database queries), then peruse your logs next time this happens, looking for mysterious UPDATE or DELETE statements. If you'd like to log all database queries, follow these steps:

    Make sure to specify -1 for "Slow query time threshold (msec)" so all queries are logged.

    Thanks for the response..
    I do not think that is my problem.
    I have seen it myself that when I add say an e-mail address to one of my employees in the employees list my name will have their e-mail address next to it.
    I fix another e-mail address and then that one will show up next to my name in the employees list.

    I could be doing just really everyday things like adding accounts or leads or what ever and I periodically check the employee list and some of the employee e-mail addresses are just missing.

    No one is deleting the addresses that I know of. Like I had mentioned before that no one really has permission to delete anything.
    Really wierd and I wish that I could try to explain it better.

    I have had co-workers stand next to me and I have shown them that this happens for not apparent reason.
    I would book a meeting into sugar add a couple of invites and some of them do not get it because some how or someway the addresses are being erased...even if no one else is logged into the system

    Hello AEsposito,

    In that case, I'd definitely recommend setting up query logging like I explained in my previous post. If you cannot find the queries that are removing the e-mail addresses in sugarcrm.log, you'll need to investigate other processes that could be modifying your Sugar database. If you do find the suspicious queries in sugarcrm.log, we can track down which part of the application is misbehaving.
