Enableing LDAP kills system

I'm using a bitrock install 4.5c on a windows 2000 server box.
Configured LDAP like I have on my LMAP box saved settings, logged out/in and all the pages are blank!
I would use the LAMP box but it will not import accounts or contacts.

I have not solved my issue but did find a post that helped return things to a usable point
run this SQL statment against the sugardb
update config set value=0 where category='system' and name='ldap_enabled';
