    Question Encrypting the entire system

    Hey guys.

Currently evaluating SugarCRM using the community demo. I changed the config.php file to force https so now the site can be accessed: https://ipaddress

The problem is the traffic still isn't encrypted. I can't find any user guide on how to do this, or other forum posts. I'm assuming I need to some how assign a certificate to it? Bear in mind I'm using the all in one demo package.

    Thanks guys

This will most likely be due to your web server configuration and in all probability has nothing to do with sugar.

First question, however, what is your operating system, what is your web server?

If you're running apache on linux, then have you installed Mod_SSL?

As I said, I've used the fasttrack all in one package...

I'm running it on a Win Server 2003 platform. Though the php5encrypt plugin or whatever it's called is installed as the "Encryption Key" field on the LDAP settings is available, not that it will do my job!

I realise this is more the web server than the sugar bit, but as it is all incorporated I'm still at a loss

    Thanks

    Check this guide...

Alternately, if you don't wish to yet purchase the certificate, you can self-sign like this...
