Error in custom relate field for a custom module

good day, i hope someone could help me out with a dilemma. I am currently utilizing the SugarCRM CE 5.2 version and have stumbled on some difficulties.

As the problem background, i have already created multiple custom modules that acts as data storage (Data modules), then i create another custom module that includes the firstly mentioned modules (Data modules) via relate field definition. However the problem starts here..

Some of the created relate fields are not functioning properly. You can edit / select / save the values from the relate field, but when you view the value at the detail page it does not reflect the stored/selected value. To make things weird when you viewed the table (custom table) the id value of the selected data is stored, but the data on the field name you have specified does not hold any value.

This happens to only some of the relate fields say i have 14 custom relate fields about 5 or 6 of them would encounter the above mentioned problem. I have already performed repair database/table to fix the problem but still to no avail. Even performed uninstall and re-deployment of the data module for it to work (sometime it does work, but is too time consuming and tedious).

I hope somebody could help me out with this at the soonest possible time.

which one? the system wide vardefs or just the custom module's vardef? thanx..
