Hello all,
i appologise in front if this is not proper place to ask a question, so moderator, please feel free to move this post.
I have been trying to send email from cugarCRM and failed so many times.
Error i am getting is as in title:
Error:The following From address failed:
I've changed From Address a few times to see if i can send email, but whatever i put in from address of administrator user, nothing change and error remains.
I tried my gmail address as well as an address i am using on my sugarcrm domain.
Both addresses exists and are in use.
I have read thorough forums, but could not find any solution that works for me.
I am using Sugar 6.1

I can sometimes send sometimes not seems random.

I am using Version 6.2.4 (Build 6735)
Linux platform
PHP Version 5.3.3
Apache/2.2.15 (Fedora)
msql 5.1.47

Anyone with any ideas?

I believe the "from address" is not allowed to send email through configured smtp server.

I have this problem, too, however, I think it is only appearing if I open up an email, and forward it.

PS ( UGH - It is not just forwarding. It is just infrequently)

UPDATE: Actually if you wait and send again a couple minutes later, it may work. It may be that Godaddy (I have an IMAP-upgraded email account there) has a timer(?!) on SMTP relays. If it does, it is not published as such.

SOLUTION: This problem went away when I decided to send outgoing email from localhost via port 25 on my Godaddy virtual dedicated server (Fedora 14 NGINX). Apparently, the godaddy firewall randomly blocks outgoing emails going to/through other SMTP servers -- even if that server is hosted by Godaddy using an authenticated SMTP login using an email domain. Go figure. Makes buying more relays for the Godaddy email account pretty pointless.
