Error on last step of installing Sugar 5.0 Community Ed.

I am trying to install Sugar CRM Community Edition version 5.0 on a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition computer. It does not have MySQL or Apache2 installed so I downloaded the FastStack version on Sugar CRM which includes both of these items. I followed the instructions to do the "Custom Instalation - found halfway down the article) to the T from the official instalation guide found here:

On the very last step (Click Next to install) (Step 24), the progress bar completly fills up and i get the Following error:

There has been an error.
Error running C:\Program Files\sugarcrm-5.0.0f/mysql/scripts.bat password : ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

The Application will exit now
OK (button)

I click ok, and it completly exits, no "launch sugar crm" window or anything. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,

I havent install sugar under windows so i am not 100% sure.....but that looks like it is looking at localhost:3306 and not being able to see the port or connect to it....i would check and see if there is any firewalls setup on that machine...if so either disable it or allow exceptions.....also check to see if the mysql service is running....if not start it or restart the machine....ALSO check the permissions for accessing localhost.....
