    Default Error sending email campaign

The following error occurs when sending an email campaign

06/12/08 18:19:10,763 [3120] FATAL SugarCRM - SugarPHPMailer encountered an error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: fred@acme.com
    06/12/08 18:19:10,766 [3120] FATAL SugarCRM - Email delivery FAILURE:Array

I can send a personal email OK.

I am sure the wrong SMTP user name / pasword is set somewhere but I can't remember where I set this for campaigns.

    Any ideas?
    Cheers

As far as I know, the only place where SMTP username and password are set is in Admin->Email Settings, if you set Mail Transfer Agent = SMTP.
Campaigns should use those same settings.

    I have checked that.

I did forget t mention that I just moved Sugar to a different server and deleted it from the old one.

    Does this add any clues?

    Hi all,

I have the exact same issue and error.

This gave me my big clue. I have SugarCRM configured on our LAN (company.lan) and a mirrored copy for our sales guys on company.com. If I create a target list while logged into the LAN, none of the emails send (even if I add the contacts to the target list while logged into the .com mirrored version of Sugar).

HOWEVER, if I create the target list and populate it from .com, everything is fine.

So ... it looks like some part of the target list is somehow associated with the domain URL from which you set it up. This triggers the error I have been getting. I have no idea exactly why, but it is a workaround for now.

It would be great to get this resolved - I have noticed other posts on the same error.

    Regards,

    Gareth.
