Error in Sending emails

Hi,

Im new to SugarCrm and i have been trying configure the email settings. I have set up all the email settings and currently im able to receive emails, but i cant seem to be able to send any out.

i always get this error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\xampp\htdocs\SugarOS-4.5.1e\SugarOS-Full-4.5.1e\include\phpmailer\class.smtp.php on line 1024

i understand that i have to change the php.ini file but it still doesnt work.

Im using Xampp currently and SugarOS 4.5.1e.

Please advice.

Try to increase the
max_execution_time variable in php.ini and restart the apache server

i managed to change the php.ini. but the problem that i have now is that when i check my sent email there is a sent error.

what kinda error is that? and how can i solve it?
