Error in Studio - no field-type

Hello,

I'm using 5.2.0c in linux-environment.

I have 2 installations on same server, 1 live, 1 for "learning" and customizing.

Up to yesterday I had no problems.

Since today there is a malfunction in studio:

I log in as admin, change to Admin-Panel, all Items are working.
Except when I call studio.

I can desing forms, can modify lists, I can see all fields (default,custom).
When I access a fieldname, a message on top appears "page loaded, ready", but nothing happened.

When I want to design a new field, the mask appears, but I can not choose field_type.
The dropdown is empty !

In my "learning"-installation everything works fine, so I think, it is not a server problem.

I checked phperror.log, no entrys.
I changed php.ini to display_error=on, no error-message is displayed.

I configured a sugar-logfile (sugarcrm.log), this file is also not written, e.g., no error are reportet (highest report-level is on).

I didn't work on sorce-code in "live"-installation, I only updated the language-files (both, us+ge), because some LBL_entrys from Admin-php's are not defined.

Any idea what I can try ?

SOLUTION:

after two more hours spent on this problem I found a solution.

The problem depends on a setting in config.php.

I never changed this file manually.

The entry 'default_language' => 'en_us', was changed - by whatever - to 'ge_ge'.

This seems to cause some internal problems (maybe not only in studio, but I haven't tried all modules/functions.

The error can be reproduced.

One question stays:

which "module", action, function etc. changes this value in config.php ?!
