Error on updating database

I changed hosters recently - using apache

I reinstalled new the sugar suite and then did an export on my old database and installed the old database into sql

this is the error I get on each page of sugar

Sugar CRM 4.2.0d Files May Only Be Used With A Sugar CRM 4.2.0 Database.

So sorry if this is a basic fix, I am a little green

Please see this thread and post #8 from andrewhsu, you can probably update your database using the SQL statement he posted. Hope this helps.
