Error upgrading SugarSuite 4.0.1 to 4.5: _compile_resource

Hi
I'm trying to upgrade Sugar. I've duplicated the website and database, adjusted config.php for new db name and new site url.

When I install the upgrade, I get the following error message:

This is the third time I've tried to upgrade... really hope someone can help.
PHP ver 4.4.3
MySQL ver 4.1.21
