Error when installing ZuckerReportsCE 1.7

Hi,
I just downloaded the brand-new ZuckerReportsCE 1.7 for Sugar (mine is 4.5.0e), and I'm getting an error on install. The progress bar stalls at 68%, and the log says:

Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /var/www/sugar/include/dir_inc.php on line 37

Wowza. I have no idea what that means. Is it something wrong with my setup, or is it an issue with the .zip? Any help would be much appreciated.
