Errors setting up 'Bounce-Back' email

I am trying to set up a Bounce Back email address (getting to the form via the Campaign Wizard). Running under Ubuntu 8.04.

Previously we had set up outgoing email and it is working fine (emails and niotifications).

Two issues:

1. I am trying to click the Checkbox for Use SSL for Outgoing -- but it is locked. (We are using GMAIL)

2. After saving the email I get these errors:

Notice: Undefined index: filter_domain in /opt/wwsugarcrm/modules/InboundEmail/Save.php on line 115

Fatal error: Class 'PEAR' not found in /opt/wwsugarcrm/include/Pear/Crypt_Blowfish/Blowfish.php on line 196

Any suggestions?

Thanks -- that was next on my list.

Is there a tutorial anyone can point me to on the best way to do this? I'll look for one myself, but if someone knows a good one I would appreciate it -
