Excel link to SugarCRM entry

How do you make a hyperlink from Excel to a SugarCRM entry? I can make the link but it ends up sending me to my Home page in Sugar, like it's blocked or something... I use the free open source version of Sugar. Thanks.

When you say "Home" are you actually referring to the Home tab in Sugar or the home page where you enter your username/pass?

If you have an active session going to Sugar, you should be able to use the link you see when you are on the DetailView of a record.

EDIT: Hmm...just tried it and I see what you are talking about. A bit unusual as putting the same link into the Run box does open it up without prompting for login credentials. Looks like Excel launches URLs a bit differently.
